Research project
In collaboration with AWN (Archeological Workgroup Netherlands) we set out to build a tool for automatically detecting and categorising archeological findings.

This research project focuses on the creation of bespoke AI technology designed to resurrect the ancient Roman world. This is achieved by harnessing real-time archaeological data to reconstruct artifacts from fragmented shards discovered underground, particularly those unearthed along the Limes Germanicus, an ancient border of the Roman Empire that traverses The Netherlands.
Creating technology for categorizing Roman artifacts is only a portion of the story. Equally important is the ability to convey, in an inspiring way, how these innovations can significantly impact our understanding of the past.
